OPTIMUS PRIME LIVES!

Ah! The Transformers G1! Has anything come since to rival it's awesomeness? No? I didn't think so. The original show was so different and broke many of the rules that many kids shows had: Robots the main character with human secondary. A single Dad who was smart and respectful. A boy that was not annoying or extreme. Severe lack of female characters. (Which for a 10 year old boy, is awesome, no offense ladies) A villain that was not bumbling.  A hero that was a hero. So here is my quick sketch of Optimus Prime. I did this on the table at "The Bad Waitress" during "Bad Cartoonist Night". He was the only cartoon character that got tears out of me when he died. And real men cry when Optimus Prime dies.

PHANTOM OF THE PARADISE

WHAT I AM WATCHING ON FRIDAY...With the sad passing of William Finley, an actor who appeared way to briefly throughout the 70's in mostly Brian De Palma films, I thought it fitting to watch his (in my opinion) best performance.

I once got to have lunch with William Finley, his wife and son a while back. He was a very nice person and great to talk to. He family was also equally wonderful. My prayers go out to them in this sad time.

Thank you William for all you have given us.

THE FIRST MORRT PAGE EVER COMPLETED.

As mentioned, "The Most Omnibus" is in the works. Here's is the first page first "Muscles & Fights". More pages as I get them done.

THEY SAY HE'S GOT TO GO...

GODZILLA! King of the Monsters! Here's a tribute to just  few of the monsters from TOHO's classic series. How many can you name? This will be available as a print shortly. A color version is in the works!

THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE

Here is a work in progress. It's every He-Man guy I can remember without looking for reference or who I am forgetting. Not as easy as it sounds...I am a fan of the original mini-comics that came packed with the figures with the beautiful Alfredo Alcala artwork. In those, it was He-Man, no Prince Adam, as a barbarian and sole Protector of Grayskull. No one lived in Grayskull either...Just a GHOST! Skeletor was a demon from another world and Eternia was a savage world that had leftover technology from a great war that had been long forgotten. Great stuff!

More on this as it happens...
